A new backdoor targeting Apple macOS devices called RustDoor has been discovered. This stealthy backdoor has been operating under the radar since November 2023, impersonating an update for Microsoft Visual Studio and targeting both Intel and Arm architectures. The initial access pathway used to propagate the implant is currently not known.
