Microsoft Defender Flaw Exploited to Deliver ACR, Lumma, and Meduza Stealers

A recently patched security flaw in Microsoft Defender SmartScreen has been used in a new campaign to distribute information stealers like ACR Stealer, Lumma, and Meduza. The campaign, detected by Fortinet FortiGuard Labs, targeted Spain, Thailand, and the U.S. by using files exploiting CVE-2024-21412, an 8.1 CVSS score vulnerability.
