New Windows Backdoor BITSLOTH Exploits BITS for Stealthy Communication

Cybersecurity researchers have uncovered a new Windows backdoor that takes advantage of the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) to operate as a command-and-control mechanism. The malware, referred to as BITSLOTH, was discovered by Elastic Security Labs during a cyber attack on June 25, 2024.
